Are you interested in removing the windowpane from your vision and trying frame-free living? Your doctor and optician will work diligently with you to fit the correct lens to your eye to enhance your vision.
We require first-time contact lens wearers see us a little more than the standard patient. During your routine examination the doctor will evaluate your tear film production and measure your corneas to ensure you are a good candidate for contact lenses. We will invite you back for the initial fit, dispensing, and one-on-one time with our optician. It is during this visit that we will work patiently with you to master inserting, removing, and caring for your new contacts and eyes. Our optician will be available to you for as long as you need—30 minutes, two visits, or ten visits! We will see you back twice, in one week and then again in five months, to check your progress and evaluate your eye.
The eye is a sensitive organ! If your lens is not properly cared for you can develop eye infections, abrasions, and blood vessel changes. The doctor will want to see you yearly for exams where the fit of the contact will be thoroughly checked again.
